Big City: Hotdogs, Burgers, Sausages

One of the new food places in the new wing of Glorietta is Big City: Hotdogs, Burgers, Sausages.  Moche and I have eaten there a couple of times and I would like to share some insights on some of their offerings.

We first tried the Sausage and Hotdog meals with 12 oz iced tea or lemonade.  There is a choice of free siding: fries or onion rings.  There is also a choice of toppings (onions, pickle relish, chili beef) for an additional P20 each.

My first ever order was the Beddar Cheddar sausage which tasted more like smoke and not cheesy at all.  The presentation was also not appetizing and I had to draw these infinity hearts myself just to make it more photogenic. Hehe.

The next time we went to Big City, I tried the Hot and Spicy sausage.  I was pleasantly surprised that the sausage was served with a baguette bread. The crispiness of the bread was a great touch because it contrasted nicely with the tenderness of the sausage. The sausage had bits of chili on it giving it just the right of spiciness.  I must say that I enjoyed this one better.

Meanwhile, Moche ordered a flame-grilled burger meal served with fries and 12 oz iced tea.  The classic burger is P145 while a double burger P180.  Making it a cheeseburger on the other hand makes it P165.  The taste was so-so, your typical flame-grilled burger taste.  Looking at this burger makes me miss my favorite CBD cheeseburger though.

All in all, I think this place is an average fast food that serves average sausage sandwiches and burgers.  I might visit it again and try their other food but they’re not really something to rave about or recommend.
